SunIce Bollon Jacket

In Clothing

In addition to spending some time with the Volt (see our recent review), I was also able to review the Bollon from SunIce.

The Bollon is part of the SunIce Tornado Collection. The Bollon is in a lower price range than the Volt while still being a fully capable jacket for the course in moderately wet conditions.

The Bollon has many of the same features as the higher-price Hurricane line (waist-cinching system, attached ball cleaner, attached lycra cuffs, and a hem bungee) while coming in at about half of the price. The cut of the jacket and the general fit are very similar to the higher price models as well – the only noticeable difference is the exterior of the jacket and the addition of GORE-TEX.

If you tend to head for the clubhouse when it starts raining – the Bollon would be a great jacket to make sure that you get there without getting wet. While you could play in moderate rain with the Bollon, I’d opt for the full GORE-TEX option of the Hurricane collection.

The outer layer of the Bollon is a soft material that feels more like a workout jacket than an outerwear jacket while still being backed up with a 4 year waterproof guarantee. The Bollon makes a nice jacket for light rain or for early morning chilly weather.
